Brandon serves as STARLIMS’ Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer and is responsible for driving the company's strategy and go-to-market strategies. He comes to STARLIMS with over 20 years of product management, marketing, and IT experience, with a focus on building and delivering solutions for regulated industries including Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices, Food & Beverage, and Automotive. Before joining STARLIMS, Brandon served as VP and Head of Product Management at Greenlight GURU, Chief Product Officer at Tangoe, and VP of Product and Strategy at Sparta Systems. At Sparta Systems, he launched the first SaaS Enterprise Quality Management solution for Life Sciences.

Trey currently serves as President and CEO of STARLIMS. Over his 20+ year career, Trey has held roles of increasing responsibility, quickly becoming a functional leader and General Manager of high-growth technology businesses. Trey brings a strong portfolio of strategy skills, diverse go-to-market capabilities, and a focus on operational efficiency to his role at STARLIMS. Ultimately, Trey’s focus on the customer has highlighted opportunities to solve market challenges through technology.

As a seasoned professional with more than 30 years of informatics experience in Life Sciences, Lisa understands that technologies change at a rapid pace, and the ability to adapt quickly is critical. After a decade of working in laboratories, her focus expanded to improving processes with technology to enhance routine operations. Having worn a variety of hats in the scientific software development life cycle, Lisa focused on large complex global programs. However, her passion is for data and working with clients to realize its full potential. Lisa heads up the New Ventures team at CSols, advocating for the voices of the customers, what the future looks like for them, and new ways to help them get there.

Lisa has more than ten years working with STARLIMS and, although no longer involved with everyday deployments, continues to oversee the most complex STARLIMS efforts for CSols to help ensure success!

Lauren brings to her role as Chief Product and Operations Officer a deep experience in the software and analytics arena. Before joining STARLIMS, Lauren was the VP of Operations with Appriss Health where she was responsible for engineering, product management, implementation, and customer service. After a successful three years, Lauren moved to the Appriss Insights business unit leading product and operations, which was acquired by Equifax. Lauren also spent the first 17 years of her career at GE Appliances, 10 of which were spent in a variety of IT roles leading the development and implementation of software, before moving cross-functionally into product management.

Gregory Emmert has over 25 years of successful experience in developing profitable and innovative sales and marketing teams for both software and professional services firms in domestic and global markets. With deep expertise in managing implementations of global enterprise systems for Fortune 50 companies, Gregory has a proven track record of exceeding sales goals through the implementation of aggressive performance metrics, overhauling strategic geographic alignments, and critical alliance partnerships.

Having managed P&Ls in excess of $160 million and led two companies to successful IPOs as their VP of Sales & Operations, Gregory offers extensive industry knowledge across multiple vertical industries, including healthcare, retail, travel, transportation, logistics, hospitality, manufacturing, and energy.

Yunying Qi is a senior engineer at Shell Projects & Technology in Houston, TX. She has supported both Shell’s downstream and upstream businesses for the past 22 years. Yunying joined Shell immediately after obtaining her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering.

Simone is from Pisa (Italy) and got his master in molecular and cellular biology at the University of Pisa with a grade of 110/100 magna cum laude. He continued his academic career with a PhD in immunology and gene therapy at KU Leuven (Belgium). After his PhD, he joined CellCarta as Application Project Manager, where he supervised a small team of business analysts focused on gathering user requirements to customize the STARLIMS production environment and other in-house applications. Since 2023 Simone has been covering the role Global Manager of Business Analysts and business product owner of STARLIMS at CellCarta, supporting the LIMS implementation and the organization's continuous processes improvement philosophy.

In his free time, he enjoys playing board games and programming computer games.

Forward-thinking application developer and LIMS administrator, with an eye toward sustainability and efficiency.  Tyler has spent the past decade working with and developing Laboratory LIMS systems, as well as implementing them in labs around the world.   As an experienced Agile team leader and a six-sigma yellow belt, Tyler is always driven to collaborate and develop new ways to improve team productivity and product quality.

Rob Granger is the Senior Product Manager at STARLIMS who manages the future evolution of our R&D/Quality Manufacturing Informatics Platform. Rob has worked in various industries including data/storage management, optical communications and medical devices. In 2016, Rob transitioned to Product at Sparta Systems to deliver a SaaS-based electronic quality management system (eQMS), helping pharma and medical device clients achieve and comply with CFR21 Part 11, Part 820, and ISO 13485 regulations. Rob continued with Greenlight Guru in 2020, where he helped implement Agile Scrum methods and led the effort to produce a new Risk Management application, enabling medical device companies to identify, mitigate, and manage their device risks.

Raluca serves as the Product Owner for Life Sciences and Public Health products. She is responsible for defining and prioritizing product features, ensuring alignment with customer needs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high quality solutions. She has been with STARLIMS for the past 12 years, and took part in the development of notable features, such as the Workflow Engine and the conversion to HTML5.

Raluca serves as the Product Owner for Life Sciences and Public Health products. She is responsible for defining and prioritizing product features, ensuring alignment with customer needs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high quality solutions. His current focus is to take advantage of the best industry technology advancements for the purpose of maximizing customer investments in STARLIMS products.

Having served his time at the lab bench both during his undergraduate and master’s studies in Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge and throughout his PhD in Synthetic Biology at Imperial College London, Barney Walker saw firsthand how outdated R&D practices hinder innovation. This experience influenced his mission of creating software, not only to make life easier for those at the lab bench, but also to accelerate the scientific breakthroughs that benefit society. His work on the Labstep ELN spans 5 years, shaping it into a vital R&D tool. As Head of Product, he drives the vision and roadmap, dedicated to innovating and solving scientists’ challenges.

Chip Maftei is a seasoned Solutions Architect and Senior Engineer with extensive experience in laboratory information management systems (LIMS), laboratory optimizations, and software development. Currently serving as Principal Solutions Architect at STARLIMS, Chip excels in implementing and enhancing STARLIMS, integrating equipment, and optimizing laboratory processes. With a solid background in implementations in laboratories for histopathology, molecular biology, and next-generation sequencing, he brings a wealth of expertise to his roles.

With a robust portfolio of successful projects and a proven track record in various leadership and engineering roles, Chip Maftei continues to drive innovation and excellence in the field of laboratory information management systems and laboratory optimizations.

Lori joined the STARLIMS team in 2023 as the Global Director, Product Training and Development. Lori’s passion for supporting customer success and professional growth through training and development began the moment her career started over 20 years ago. This passion has only continued to grow as she has witnessed the power of investment in people. Lori’s focus is on internal and external partnerships to identify, develop, and deliver best-in-class training to drive Customer and STARLIMS long-term success.
